The 3-Step Rewind technique offers a gentle, non-intrusive way to help you process and release the emotional weight of difficult experiences, allowing you to move forward with greater ease.
What is the 3-Step Rewind Technique?
The 3-Step Rewind is not traditional therapy but a supportive process designed to help you feel more at peace with challenging experiences. Using deep relaxation and visualisation, it offers a safe way to process and neutralise difficult emotions without needing to relive them.
How the 3-Step Rewind Process Works
The 3-Step Rewind is a gentle, evidence-informed process designed to release negative or traumatic feelings linked to your pregnancy, birth, or parenting experiences. This focused approach uses deep relaxation and simple neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) techniques to help you feel calmer and more in control.
You remain fully in charge of the process—there’s no need to share details of your experience unless you wish to. Sessions can be held face-to-face or online via Zoom, offering flexibility to suit your needs.

What to Expect from the 3-Step Rewind
Step 1 – Exploring and Preparing (Approx. 90 Minutes)
In this first session, you’ll have the opportunity to share as much or as little of your story as you feel comfortable with. Together, we’ll explore how it could feel to be free from the difficult emotions or trauma symptoms you’re experiencing.
The session includes an introduction to relaxation, which will be recorded for you to listen to daily until the next session.
Step 2 – Rewind and Release (Approx. 60 Minutes)
A week after your first session, the Rewind process begins. This involves a guided deep relaxation, where we gently revisit the memory in a way that disconnects it from the overwhelming emotional response. The goal is to process the experience so that it no longer feels triggering or emotionally charged.
Step 3 – Reflect and Empower (Approx. 30 Minutes)
A week after Step 2, we’ll meet again to reflect on the changes you’ve experienced. This session provides space to discuss how you’re feeling, identify any additional support you might need, and conclude with another relaxation exercise.
A Gentle, Pressure-Free Process
This process is entirely led by you. There’s no pressure to revisit details of your experience unless you feel comfortable doing so. Each session is designed to create a safe, supportive space that promotes relaxation and healing.
